The SR series of multipole connectors are renowned for their high durability and long service life; they are designed for a wide range of applications.

Originally developed for military use, they are now also used in aviation, railway and transportation technology,
automation and telecommunications, signalling-related applications, heavy industrial equipment and other applications requiring a reliable connection during vibrations, shocks and acceleration.

For example SR connectors are used to interconnect mission-critical generators, devices and control units in suburban and long-distance trains — brakes, doors, etc.

The connection is secured by means of a cap nut, which can be sealed.
